Hugh is a goodwill ambassador for the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. This is the longest serving women’s peace organisation in the world. It has been fighting for a more holistic approach to peacemaking for 100 years, bringing together human rights, the protection of the environment, economic and social justice and disarmament, in rejection of militarism, inequality and patriarchy as root causes of conflict. WILPF stretches from local to global, as a community of peacemakers working on grassroots activism to international advocacy.
