February 2016 – The final performance of Miss Saigon
Hugh starred as John in the brand new Cameron Mackintosh production of Miss Saigon which opened in May 2014.

Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production made a return to the West End and during it’s two year run broke all box office records.

It’s 25 years since Miss Saigon’s record breaking run at London’s Drury Lane Theatre. Since then it has played in 300 cities in 15 different languages, winning awards around the world.

This epic musical love story tells the tale of a young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American GI called Chris – but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.

Hugh Maynard has delighted West End audiences as he reprised the role of John in this hugely successful revival of Miss Saigon that opened on Saturday 3rd May 2014 at Prince Edward Theatre, London.

Hugh was the youngest person ever to play the part of John in the original touring production of Miss Saigon in 2004.

The show closed on 27 February 2016.  The spectacular Anniversary Performance has been made in to an epic film due for release on the 16 October 2016.
